This was so good。 I truly enjoyed the story line, the characters and sex was off the hook steamy。 Ms Slater did a great job with this being her first time writing this genre。

It was so easy to just into this book from chapter one, look up and realize the afternoon has just slipped by, and dive right back in。 Best day ever。 As always, by this author, Damaged Mate has solid and well developed characters and world building, the story arc is compelling。 The MCs chemistry is on point with interesting side characters。 I canNOT wait for more in this series。 Nikita Slater has been a go to read/ reread for me for years; quite frankly if she writes it I reads it。 And I don’t see that changing。 I received a copy of this book and I’m voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

I hadn't read a shifter book for a minute but Nikita Slater is one of my very favorite authors, not exaggerating, so I didn't hesitate to preorder。 I loved it! Great characters, and good start to a new series。 I'm definitely curious about what happens next。 The end seemed a bit disjointed at first, but it all ties together nicely。 A few typos throughout, but nothing serious。 Fun story, good read。(ARC review, honest opinion) Great characters, and good start to a new series。 I'm definitely curious about what happens next。 The end seemed a bit disjointed at first, but it all ties together nicely。 A few typos throughout, but nothing serious。 Fun story, good read。(ARC review, honest opinion) 。。。more

3。5⭐So let me preface this by - I am a fan of Nikita Slater。 So feels odd to give this rating。。 I enjoyed the book enough, but at the same time it didn't make me be like 'wow'。 It wasn't bad by any means - the writing was good, character development was there。。yet it lacked something for me, even if I can't quite put my finger on what。 Fell kinda flat to me。 Which is disappointing。Nevertheless, I will pick up next one in the series。 3。5⭐So let me preface this by - I am a fan of Nikita Slater。 So feels odd to give this rating。。 I enjoyed the book enough, but at the same time it didn't make me be like 'wow'。 It wasn't bad by any means - the writing was good, character development was there。。yet it lacked something for me, even if I can't quite put my finger on what。 Fell kinda flat to me。 Which is disappointing。Nevertheless, I will pick up next one in the series。 。。。more

Where do I begin。 This book is incredibly fantastical。 Nikita has this ability to write in a way that transports you into one of her books。 That is what made it so easy to read and a page turner。 I just could not put it down。 I truly enjoyed the romance, the action and the intrigue。 I look forward to the next installment。

I believe this is Nikita Slater's first shifter book, and she has done an amazing job with it。 I love how she tells the story of the characters and how their lives come together。 The two main characters are great, and it took them some time to find each other, but once they did, they couldn't be separated。 If you like shifter books, you will definitely love this one, and I am hoping there will be more to come because we need all the brothers' stories。 Nikita, you did a fantastic job with this bo I believe this is Nikita Slater's first shifter book, and she has done an amazing job with it。 I love how she tells the story of the characters and how their lives come together。 The two main characters are great, and it took them some time to find each other, but once they did, they couldn't be separated。 If you like shifter books, you will definitely love this one, and I am hoping there will be more to come because we need all the brothers' stories。 Nikita, you did a fantastic job with this book。 。。。more

I normally do not read this genre, but I have read all of Nikita’s books, and this did not disappoint。 During the search for his fated mate, Lock comes across Sarina。 He is a wolf shifter。 His brother, Lunatic King is truly a lunatic, and named appropriately。 Lock was patient with Sarina and truly wanted her to be happy。 The story was sweet and intriguing。 I’m so excited for the next book in the series。

Nikita Slater is one of my go-to authors, no matter what she writes。 Any genre she chooses to express is so beautifully done that the reader gets pulled in and, at least in my case, reads the book in one sitting。This book is unique, the story interesting, the characters were fully developed and the world building was clearly and realistically created。 I’m quite a fan of this author, and I always recommend her books。 I’ve never been disappointed in any of her stories。 Highly recommended。

This was a welcome dip into the Shifter world by author Nikita Slater。 I enjoy the Shifter trope so seeing a one-click author of mine try her hand at fated mates has opened up a brand new series set in a world where humans know Shifters exist。 The series is based around five brothers, with this one focussing on Lock, the well-accomplished General who help protect his species when humans attacked Shifters centuries ago in a war。 When his brother, the popularly anointed king, slowly declines into This was a welcome dip into the Shifter world by author Nikita Slater。 I enjoy the Shifter trope so seeing a one-click author of mine try her hand at fated mates has opened up a brand new series set in a world where humans know Shifters exist。 The series is based around five brothers, with this one focussing on Lock, the well-accomplished General who help protect his species when humans attacked Shifters centuries ago in a war。 When his brother, the popularly anointed king, slowly declines into self-importance and then madness after a witch, also his fated mate, disappeared after casting a spell on him and his siblings, Lock turns his back on family, friends and home, choosing instead to live a quiet and peaceful life of solitude。 Having felt his fated mate die by their magical connection before he'd ever met her, he's resolved to a life alone until a damaged wolf crashes into his world and shakes it to its core。 Traumatised and unable to shift into human form after centuries as a wolf, Sarina has lost her former self to her animal after the king tried to force her into submission to marry and mate him。 When she meets Lock, their souls intertwine as fate takes the lead, resulting in their lives changing forever。As you'd expect from this author, the world building was solid。 As this is Book 1 in the Immortal Wolf Shifters, the first few chapters push through the premise of the series and give the reader a run-down on wolf-human politics and the history of the five brothers that make up the alphas of the pack the books are based around。 The world is one where Shifters and humans have a tenuous relationship。 Having fought in a violent and bloody war centuries ago, they've reached a semblance of peace as they co-exist together, following the rules set by the treaty they both agreed to。 Lock was your typical alpha wolf: growly, dominant, extremely jealous and possessive。 He was kind to Sarina, however, which made him likeable。 Readers that enjoy a heroine more on the innocent/naïve side will like Sarina。 Due to being stuck in her wolf form for so long, she's forgotten her human past so everything is new and has to be relearnt, giving her an almost child-like wonderment of things at times。 The story, as well as the series, sets itself around fated mates, my preferred trope in the Shifter world。 There was a lot of emphasis on how damaged Sarina was but this eased off a bit as the story went on。 There was plenty of steam that burned up the pages and will keep readers happy。 Overall it was an enjoyable read and I'll definitely be continuing with the series。 Oh, and I loved the cover - it's gorgeous! 。。。more
